Questions about Certification courses - Diploma, Practitioner and Master Practitioner and Trainers Training

12. Why is it so useful for me to complete a pre-course written paper for Practitioner and Master Practitioner courses?

The purpose of the pre-course paper is for you to fully integrate the pre-course material (mainly the CDs), so that you have learned the theory and are fully prepared for the course. This helps to ensure that all delegates have a sufficient level of knowledge before the course to enable you all to learn quickly in the classroom and benefit from our Fast-Track approach. The written work itself is open-book i.e. we want you to use the CDs and manual to help you answer the questions. It is important that the written paper is fully completed before the course starts, so that you can get the most from the course rather than be distracted by having to complete it during the training.

13. What is The Training Particiaption Agreement, and why do I need to sign it?

We believe in operating from best practice in the NLP Training Profession. The Training Participation Agreement is essentially a document which all delegates sign to confirm that they are medically and psychologically fit to undertake the training. NLP is a powerful tool, and in certain situations we would need to be aware of any mental or physical health issues so that we can assist delegates in having the most useful experience of the course, and avoid any potential problems that could possibly arise if a delegate is not healthy enough to attend the course. It would be irresponsible of us not to ask these questions. All information is treated sensitively and in the strictest confidence by trained professionals.

14. Who is the certification recognised by?

The NLP Diploma, Practitioner, Master Practitioner and Trainers Training Certificates from the Lazarus Consultancy Ltd are recognised by the ANLP (Association for Neuro Linguistic Programming) International.

In addition, by training with us you can gain credits towards an MA in Applied Coaching run in partnership with The Performance Solution and Derby University Corporate.

Our NLP Practitioner and Master Practitioner courses are also recognised by the Association for Coaching.

15. What are the certification criteria?

These will be made clear to you at the start of each certificated course, and will be shown in the training manual you will receive either before the course (Practitioner and Master Practitioner) or at the start of the course (Diploma and Trainers Training). They comply with the requirements of the organisations referred to in 14 above, and we pride ourselves on having extremely high standards.

16. Will I automatically pass?

No. All of our courses are assessed against strict criteria - we can make these available to you on request before the course. We have a very high pass rate, and it is our intention and desire that you pass. You will appreciate that a course where everyone automatically passes renders the certificate almost worthless.

17. What happens if a delegate does not meet the standards?

During the face-to-face aspect of the course, we will monitor all delegates' progress and give feedback. If we have any doubts about whether we can certify someone, we will discuss this with that person privately during the course and agree how best to assist them to reach the required standard. In the rare cases that someone does not meet the standards, we will suggest specific tasks to be completed after the course to assist them in demonstrating to us that they have reached the necessary standards at some agreed point in the future. This will almost certainly be done at no additional cost to the delegate.
